One of the best ways you can work to actively avoid plagiarizing is by being vigilant about citing your sources.

There are a number of ways to help make this process easier:

• Take notes while you're reading/researching
• If you copy/paste from an online resource, automatically put quotation marks around it
• Start making your bibliography as soon as you open a book or find a good resource
