The LG Guggenheim Award recognizes one artist annually for their groundbreaking achievements in technology-based art. The Award recipient for 2025 is the South Korean artist Ayoung Kim. Kim creates fantastical, meticulously crafted virtual environments using emerging technologies. She advocates for AI literacy and a deeper understanding of the boundary between humans and machines, reflecting her interest in particle science, quantum realities, and interconnected multiple worlds. Kim pushes the boundaries of art and technology, offering a vision of the future shaped by both.
