How to cite a work of art (painting/sculpture/photograph) | or the museum label
Include the artist's name (last name, first name), title of the artwork (italicized), and date the work of art was composed. Name of the organization housing the artwork, URL.
Freilicher, Jane. Bread and Bricks, 1984. The Metropolitan Museum of Art,
https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/484400.
If you're citing an image from the Artstor database it would read as follows:
Ligon, Glenn. Condition Report. 2000. Artstor,
0-library-artstor-org.archway.searchmobius.org/asset/LARRY_QUALLS_10311782753.
For help with citations please feel free to ask a Reference Librarian. Purdue OWL is also a great resource for citation guidance.
