Citing Art

How to cite a work of art (painting/sculpture/photograph) | or the museum label

Include the artist's name (last name, first name), title of the artwork (italicized), and date the work of art was composed. Name of the organization housing the artwork, URL.

Freilicher, Jane. Bread and Bricks, 1984. The Metropolitan Museum of
Art

https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/484400.

If you're citing an image from the Artstor database it would read as follows:

Ligon, Glenn. Condition Report. 2000. Artstor

0-library-artstor-org.archway.searchmobius.org/asset/LARRY_QUALLS_10311782753.
