Short Story Collections in the SCC Library: Classic Short Story Collections

If you're looking to dive into some classic short story collections here are a few titles we've pulled together for you. The compilation obviously isn't exhaustive, but we tried to include a diverse array of authors from different time periods to get you started.

To get more information about authors and collections you can look at The Columbia Companion to the Twentieth-Century American Short Story in our Reference Collection. That can point you to other authors and their work - if we don't have a collection we can always request it for you through MOBIUS.

We also have the Reference Guide to Short Fiction and the Critical Survey of Short Fiction in our Reference Collection. They're a little older (copyright 1994 and 2001, respectively) but they are still great resources for getting information about short fiction authors and their work.
