Open Educational Resources

Promoting and supporting open educational resources to improve access and lower costs for course materials.

Applying for incentive program

Faculty who currently use a traditional textbook and elect to adopt an Open Education Resource (OER) textbook may be eligible to receive a stipend. Stipends are limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • The OER Taskforce makes final approval for consideration for the stipend.
  • Faculty will be required to survey their students at the end of each semester and report the results of the survey to the OER Taskforce.
  • Only open resources will be considered. Open Educational Resources (OER) are released under an open license that permits their free use and repurposing by others.
